White Summer Dress

As a mom of a two-year-old boy, it’s basically impossible for me to wear white without the fear of his little hands or feet getting me dirty.  But seeing as how I think white is the color of Summer, I decided to throw caution to the wind and take my chances with what I think is the perfect White Summer Dress.

I happened to pick it up a while ago so I owe you an apology for just getting around to sharing it with you, but seeing as how this is the first week of Summer, now just happens to be the best time to show you just how much fun I have had styling my perfect White Summer Dress.

To start, let me be clear, the dress can easily be worn as is really.  It has such intricate details, it really doesn’t require much accessorizing, which is exactly what makes it perfect.

For my first look, I chose to style it with my my turquoise statement necklace, which actually complements the dress quite nicely. I think the pairing turned out lovely.

This past weekend we went to the beach and I decided to remove the slip and wear it as a swimsuit cover, and it was such a hit.  Ladies swooned over it, and I can see why.  I liked wearing it so much more than my bikini that I didn’t even want to take it off.  It was easy, breezy, and cool.

While I do love the dress as a cover up, I have for the longest time wanted to pair a dress with a pair of jeans.  In fact, I bought these jeans late last Summer with the hopes of wearing them with a dress, and my little White Dress happened to be the perfect match.  I did dress it up a bit by adding some heels, a necklace, and a matching handbag making this this look simply perfect for Summer nights out particularly a dinner and movie date, or for one of the many other celebrations that tend to come with Summer.

I know I’m not much of a “capsule wardrober”, but if I ever decided to become one, owning a dress like this would make mixing it up so fun and so easy, after all, styling shouldn’t be a chore at all.  I can’t wait to find another perfect dress with a multitude of styling possibilities.
