Do you have a kimono in your wardrobe? I got this one a year ago to wear to a Mary J. Blige concert (paired then with black shorts, a tank, and heels), and I have been loving it ever since. It works as the perfect accessory, and it adds just the right amount of Boho vibe to any look. To me, there’s something sensual about the Bohemian style that agrees with my spirit. I took this look to the streets and discovered that a kimono is the thing to wear.
One way to style the Kimono is to pair it with monochromatic pieces: it works well with dresses, shorts, and jeans. I knew it would work perfectly with all white. I absolutely love wearing all white anyway, but adding this Kimono to the all white tank and jeans duo gave the outfit the taste of Summer flavor that I have been craving, and I was completely there for it.
I had purchased these statement earrings and coordinating necklace by SugarFix at the beginning of Spring from Target, and knew that these pieces would cement the Boho look I was aiming for.
Finishing off the look with flats was a no brainer especially for a day of exploring new spots to sip and shop. Plus, I have lived in this pair of flats by Universal Thread since Spring. I got them in brown too.
I decided to accessorize with the top accessory this season the straw bag. It comes in all colors, shapes and sizes, and is one of the tops items to own this season. I got mine from Charming Charlie, but I have linked in some similar ones here. Too bad my mama didn’t keep all of her seagrass and bamboo accessories from back in the day; I’d be set right now if she had… dang Mama!
Hair up or down, night at the concert, or perusing the streets, the Kimono adds flavor, and a Boho vibe that is just right for Summer. You’ll be loving the look as well!
