Today, I am excited to be sharing with you my cute and cozy creative corner. For years, I have been trying to create a space that would allow me to be productive, get organized, and to create. Back in 2007, I bought a desk, a book case, and a chair, all with the intent of creating a home office. Needless to say, the office never materialized. With my recent move, the idea has been revived, and with a renewed sense of motivation, I have, after years of procrastination, finally created a quaint little corner to call my own. Check it out!
The space before I showed it some love…

After I poured some love into the space…

I love how it all came together. But what I am most proud about is that I set a goal to be finished with it by the end of January, and I smashed it. I can’t tell you how good it feels to be able to stop procrastinating and to commit to something. Before I go on, I want you to know that you can also do “the thing” you have been wanting to do but have been putting off forever. It is absolutely possible! All you have to do is make up your mind to get it done, and then make the necessary moves to make it happen. No matter what “it” is. It’s just like my main man Thoreau said, “if [you] advance confidently in the direction of [your] dreams, and endeavors to live the life which [you] have imagined, [you] will meet success in common hours.” What all that means, is that you simply have to get up, get out, and get busy manifesting your dreams. I am sure you will find that it was within your grasp all along.
For me, it all started with a desk, a chair, and an idea. I love that I was able to shop my own items, and re-purpose them. It not only made this project affordable, but much more manageable as well. Luckily, quite a few of the items I used were clearance finds, which also kept my cost to a minimum. I am entering a new phase in my life. One where I have to be cost conscious and purposeful with my money. In a word, responsible. I am amazed at how well it turned out. I have been much more productive, organized, and creative. My little cozy corner is charming and magical, and it’s just what I needed.
Super cute!
Thank you so much, Chandra! I love my little corner!
