Happy New Year! It’s 2016, and everyone is all abuzz with plans of resolutions, change, and growth. And while all of these notions appeal to me, I have decided that I will not be making a list of resolutions this year. Now, we all know that a lot can happen in a year. Some things within our control and other things not so much, which pretty much sums up my 2015 year. Last year, I made a list of 12 goals/resolutions to accomplish, and of those 12 goals/resolutions, I report that I accomplished a total of 5 of them. Now before you judge me for meeting only 5 of my 12 goals, allow me to judge myself. Upon reflection, I recognize that most of my goals were pretty good ones:
Goals Completed in 2015
- Volunteered for the 2015 “MLK Day of Service”
- Participated in the “Pay it Forward” Challenge
- Completed my first 5k!
- Contacted an old friend (@least 4) and had breakfast or lunch!
- Completed and Renewed my National Board Certification! YAY!
See, good goals! Goals worthy of celebration! I have to recognize my successes and appreciate them! But in doing so, I must try to assess why the other 7 goals were partially accomplished or not at all. It was probably because as I usually do with all things, I was just a tad bit ambitious when I made my goals. I wanted to accomplish them all, but I did not make a plan, I did not create a vision. Well, this time, I am confident! In 2016, I will create a vision for my life, one that gives me purpose and pushes me to have faith that this will be the year that I am in complete agreeance with myself. That my mouth, heart, and mind aligned. I am confident that the universe will hear me, agree with me, and respond to me. Amen!
Keep in mind that
so you must remember to
and realize that you have to
I wish you all a safe and prosperous NEW YEAR, one where you will endeavor to create the life you deserve and live it as God intended!
